Coordinator II/III, Development Programs (Stewardship, Marketing and Communications)

The Raymond J. Harbert College of Business Office of Advancement at Auburn University is seeking candidates for the position of Coordinator II/III, Development Programs (Stewardship, Marketing and Communications). The Coordinator is responsible for stewardship and acts as the liaison with the Harbert College of Marketing and Communications and with Central Development Marketing and Communications offices. The Coordinator will also work with other Development Coordinators on special events. The position reports directly to the Senior Director of Development.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities will include:
  • Create and implement an overall donor engagement and stewardship plan
  • Oversee all stewardship components including those that identify, retain, and recognize donors
  • Manage the stewardship budget and maintain fiscal integrity of that funding in accordance with University, Foundation, and College policies
  • Maintain College Case Statements developed by the College Marketing and Communications Team and approved by the Dean, Development Communications, and Development Manager
  • Maintain College Department and Center fact sheets that act as rationale of support statements
  • Create, print and distribute annual and endowment reports along with annual impact statements
  • Act as the official liaison for the Marketing and Communications department within the College; manage the relationship with outside marketing and communication contractors, and work with the Central Development Marketing Offices as needed
  • Work with College and Central Development Communications and Marketing to develop a template for major gift proposals and solicitations
  • Work with the Development Coordinator to implement special events with constituents based on the Special Event Plan and with a concentration on return on investment
  • Liaison for Harbert College of Business Advancement website content with the College's Marketing and Communications team
  • Work with the Development Associate and the Development Coordinator on all direct mail solicitations
  • Work with key team members to create an annual calendar that reflects College priorities, including events, meetings, and all direct mail and social media campaigns
  • Provide a level of professionalism and courteousness to current and prospective donors, volunteers, and staff at all time
  • Review, study and understand the components of the College strategic plan and the Office development plan
  • Attend College and University events as appropriate
  • Be an active member of the Auburn community through involvement in non-profit and community activities
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Development
Minimum Qualifications
Entry into the applicant pool requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; plus, two (2) years of relevant experience in public relations and general office operations. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience.

Level III requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus four years of relevant experience in public relations and general office operations. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience.

In addition, must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team-based environment, be available to work occasional nights and weekends in addition to the regular work week, and possess a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one prior to selection.
