MANAGER, STUDENT ART PROGRAMS, Office of the Arts, to manage-under minimal supervision-the scope and mission of multiple MIT student arts programs as well as relationships with entrepreneurship programs and initiatives on campus. Responsibilities will include producing, managing, attending, and communicating about multiple student arts events annually; documenting events and participants; maintaining relationships with students, student groups, and alumni; co-managing a part-time START studio maker in residence/Wiesner Student Art Gallery coordinator; working with the communications team to document and publicize the achievements of the above-noted programming; and supervising a student intern.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a minimum of a bachelor’s degree; at least three years’ experience in student activities, event production, and project management; experience at a decision-making level; excellent analytical, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to anticipate and initiate actions regarding arts programming and to ensure that supervisor is aware of all activities. Arts administration experience and a master’s degree in a related field are preferred. Job #17672-8
