Senior Project Controls Specialist
*Job Description :
Under minimal general supervision, performs Project Controls job functions as assigned by management. Typical job responsibilities are to assist and support management in ensuring proper control, tracking and cost accounting for project cost and work scope alignment with the approved project Work Breakdown Structure and coding. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support management in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform the duties of a
Project Control Specialist lV .
Accumulates and compiles accurate cost data to prepare the project budgets and updates to then project cost forecasts
Develops cost control, scheduling, and earned value management procedures and guidelines
Assist Control Account Managers in the development of control account execution plans, work breakdown structure dictionary definitions, and earned value methods & techniques
Participates in period project reviews/schedule meetings with company or client management.
Implements change control, prepares timely complete and accurate baseline change proposals.
Develops and maintains Control Account level schedules .
Inputs data in various scheduling, cost or earned value management tools and generate schedules, labor hour reports, cost reports and earned value reports.
Identifies trends and deviations to cost and schedule performance, impacts and recommends corrective actions.
Supports Control Account Manager analysis of earned value data and explanation of variances
Maintains the established project costs/schedule program and prepares schedule/cost status reports
Reports and analyzes historical information
Perform duties complex in nature
Other job related duties as assigned
Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner
Actively participates in Safety Work Groups
*Basic Job Requirements :
BA/BS degree in a related field and 9 years of related
experience, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience is required. Typical experience ranges from 9 - 12
Strong PC skills to include Microsoft software; automated accounting and cost management systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Understands the fundamental concepts of Project Controls, Cost Engineering, Scheduling, Earned Value Management or Estimating
Current Active, or able to obtain a DOE "L" or "Q" clearance or ability to obtain a DOE "L" or "Q" clearance
All candidates MUST HAVE the following experience (5-12 years) to be considered for review:
- EVMS (Earned Value Management System)
- Strong Planning/Scheduling
- DOE Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45.00 to $55.00 /hour
